Role Overview:

As a Senior Engineer, you will design, build, deploy, and maintain applications responsible for the digital representation of Home bound’s broad catalog of home plans and options. These business critical digital representations are used to define every detail of a home that will be built by home bound. You will collaborate with product management, UI/UX design and various other departments within Home bound on expanding and improving the digital building domain. You will develop deep domain expertise in the home building process and work with a small tight-knit team to bring your ideas to production. This is an exciting opportunity to be on the ground floor of a team that is core to Home bound’s mission – helping Home bound reinvent and improve the home building process with technology.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with product management, UI/UX design and various other departments within Home bound on expanding and improving the digital building domain
• Contribute to the entire product development process including ideation, prototyping, deployment, and iteration
• Develop deep domain knowledge in home building and solve core pain points for construction experts
• Deploy high quality production code on a daily basis
• Learn and grow with a small, tight-knit team that values teamwork and collaboration

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, startup and/or remote experiences, a big plus
• Deep understanding of development best practices and standards
• Demonstrated success in independently leading projects and mentoring others to solve problems
• Strong sense of ownership and autonomy and an excitement to be involved in the entire product development lifecycle
• A drive to understand how things work and a love of sharing that knowledge with others
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail
• Experience with or working closely with DevOps and AWS is a plus
