Qualifications

• Academic background or professional qualification in a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Clear and articulate language skills and written communication abilities

About the role

• Contribute to the design of our architecture and technical vision
• Taking a key role in the design and layout of websites
• Using Figma for visual layout of web pages
• Implement designs using Wordpress or other web technologies
• Liaising with Client Services, Graphic Designers, and Developers to ensure that tasks are completed on time
• Taking a design brief from initial concepts right through to the final deliverable. Listening to feedback from key stakeholders and making adjustments.
• You will be great at managing your time and projects, as well as getting input from clients, designers and other developers as you need
• Producing high fidelity prototypes and mock-ups for testing and demonstration
• Using UX principles to design excellent experiences for internal and external clients
• Previous experience of working with other people's designs and developing concepts from others' core ideas
• A good understanding of basic technical language and the factors/limitations of web design and development to inform logical UI/UX decisions
• Collaborate with other designers to ensure consistency across the customer journey
• A team player with high energy and excitement for modern web development
• Demonstrate experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong prioritization skills
• Experience keeping up to date with current industry thinking with a strong focus on UX/UI best practices
• Responding to reports of technical problems and working with the team to fix them quickly
• Liaise & collaborate with the internal development team to add functionality.

Requirements

• 2+ Years' experience of website design and development
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in HTML5/CSS3 (ideally SASS)
• Skilled in CMS and working with WordPress sites
• Commercial experience within a design-focused industry
• Portfolio showcasing previous design and UX/UI work across both desktop and mobile
• In-depth knowledge of Figma or Sketch
• Knowledge of the Adobe Suite
• An understanding of prototyping tools
• Knowledge of UX/UI design on both desktop and mobile
• Knowledge of designing for digital products for complex systems across the web and mobile applications
• Strong problem-solving skills with good attention to detail
• Experience of Git
• Knowledge of Elementor web builder are highly preferable
