Social Media Specialist-Digital Designer

Job Summary: The Social Media Specialist/Digital Designer is responsible for creating compelling social media content and digital assets for the Center for Child Protection’s multimedia and digital communications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field, relevant experience in marketing and/or advertising preferred
  • • High level familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, & Twitter)
  • • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, digital marketing (SEO, email marketing)
  • • Basic photo and video editing experience
  • • Genuine interest in educating the community on child abuse awareness
  • • Professional verbal and written communication ability
  • • Strong ability to write social and digital copy
  • • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple properties
  • • Bilingual is a plus, but not required

Job Tasks:

1. Collaborates with Digital Marketing Manager to develop and implement the digital marketing strategy

2. Designs on-brand creative for a variety of uses, social media marketing, website marketing, email marketing, and additional creative projects

3. Manages social media calendar and develops content including social copy, images, videos, gifs, etc.

4. Performs daily posting, monitoring, and engaging with the community

5. Stays up to date with changes on all social platforms and presents new ideas to reach the target audience

6. Writes social and digital copy

7. Works with department managers to research and develop content

8. Research child abuse awareness and prevention to promote via social channels

9. Identifies leaders and influencers and engages them in brand activities

10. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the mission, core values and vision of the organization and the children’s advocacy model

11. Attends regular staff meetings and other community meetings as assigned

12. Provides Program support for forensic, therapy and medical cases, as needed

13. Follows Center policies and procedures at all times

14. Performs other duties as assigned
