Senior UI/UX Designer

We're Proof, a startup in the legal tech industry. We’ve built a best-in-class legal services platform that is used by thousands of law firms, and growing over 10% month-over-month. We’re looking for talented individuals to join our team as we continue to scale and grow as a company.

This is a 100% remote position. Candidates located within the United States preferred, will consider exceptional international candidates that can work in EST timezone.

What you’ll do:

• Play an integral role in the product development of the Proof platform
• Establish UI/UX guidelines and component styles
• Ensure product & engineering adherence to design guidelines
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
• Team up with product managers, engineers, and leadership to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
• This is our first formal hire for a UI/UX position and you will have a strong level of ownership over the experience and look & feel of Proof

What we’ll expect you to know on day one:

• A strong portfolio with best-in-class work across platforms and experiences that highlights your approach to problem solving
• Possess a clean and clear visual sensibility and an eye for detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints as they apply to designing for desktop and mobile platforms
• Ability to take a complex workflow and distill it into a simple & intuitive design & user experience
• You're a self-starter, take initiative, self-manage and require little day-to-day direction to be successful
• Knowledge to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, space and time
• You're excited to learn new technologies, languages, tools and best practices
• You're a proactive communicator; you communicate concerns and blockers early

Great to have, but not required:

• Experience with Figma
• Prior experience working with a startup and/or SaaS business
• Ability to create illustrations
