Designer for Piano-App

We are looking for a freelance UX Designer to help us change the art of learning to play instruments for good. We are a young Berlin-based startup, and are developing an AI smart App, capable of reading music sheets, identifying notes and teaching users to play. The App is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. We already have 80.000 Downloads.

About Halbestunde:

With Halbestunde’s piano sheet music scanner and reader, one can play all of their favorite pieces of music with their phone. The App identifies the notes and creates a lesson for users to listen to the music and practice. Users can set the tempo, listen to the right or the left hand and get feedback to improve their piano playing skills.

Some of the current App features are:

+ Upload sheet music PDFs

+ Control hands and tempo

+ Receive feedback at any time

+ Identify learning areas and practice on them specifically

+ Statistics show your progress

You will be working on helping us create an intuitive and user-friendly experience for our users, devising design for new features and therefore assisting on improving retention and monetisation.

You must have:

  • Experience with B2C Apps
  • A portfolio with at least 2 examples to show us
  • Flexibility and availability of at least 3 days a week
  • Willingness to become a member of our team in future
  • At least 3 years of experience
  • Fluent English
  • Based in Europe
