DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing cloud infrastructure on a major cloud platform, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
• Collaborating with product development teams from project inception to launch, taking ownership of deployment pipelines and site reliability.
• Ensuring the high availability of production environments by implementing robust alerting, monitoring, and security measures.
• Creating and maintaining multiple testing and staging environments to facilitate rapid feature development and testing.
• Leveraging infrastructure as code (IaC) and the latest DevOps tools and practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Cultivating an automation-oriented culture and implementing automation solutions wherever they are beneficial.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• 4+ years of industry experience in a DevOps role, with a preference for experience within a SaaS product team, and a proven track record of positively impacting products or teams.
• Profound expertise in AWS and its services, with at least 2 years of experience building complex cloud architectures.
• Exceptional proficiency in containerization technologies, including Docker, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS ECS, and AWS EKS.
• Experience working with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform or similar solutions.
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, or Python, along with scripting experience in languages like bash and Groovy.
• A strong understanding of web technology and cloud infrastructure security practices.
• An enthusiasm for tackling complex problems and a proven ability to do so effectively.
• Willingness to quickly adapt to and learn new technologies and frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, both clear and responsive.
