Customer Service Specialist - Accounts Receivable

    We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist - AR to join our Customer Experience team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our customers with payments and collection inquiries. You are efficient in collecting outstanding customer invoices while maintaining positive relationships with clients.


    • Utilize a customer service ticketing system to respond to customer inquiries and manage finance-related tasks.
    • Work with enterprise tools (e.g., Salesforce, Netsuite) as well as internally developed systems and tools.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
    • Maintain records of accounts receivable, ensuring accurate aging, appropriate application of credits, resolution of uncollectible amounts, and handling miscellaneous discrepancies.
    • Manage outstanding accounts receivable by contacting customers through phone calls and support tickets.
    • Provide regular updates to management on the status of collections and outstanding accounts.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of credit and collections policies and procedures to optimize the collections process.


    • Strong desire to learn, be hands-on, and demonstrate diligence and speed.
    • 2+ years of experience in a Customer Services finance role (e.g., Credit Collections Specialist, Accounts Receivable Specialist, or similar role).
    • 1+ year of experience in a customer ticketing system.
    • Experience in a fast-paced/start-up technology company.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Finance or relevant experience.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
    • Ability to build relationships with other departments.
    • Multitasking abilities, problem-solving skills, and a sense of ownership.
    • Working knowledge of NetSuite.
    • Proficiency in English, with additional languages considered a bonus.
