As a member of the Revenue Accounting team, you will be working in a fast- paced, non-traditional environment while building relationships within the accounting team and the larger organization (i.e. GL Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Digital, and Treasury).

The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for many aspects of general ledger-related activities focused on revenue accounting, proper application of US GAAP, various accounting transactions, monthly and quarterly close and balance sheet account reconciliations.

In addition, the role will be involved in the 10-Q and 10-K processes, participate in SOX compliance, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. As the company continues to grow, the Senior Revenue Accountant must be able to adapt quickly to meet the changing needs.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment. He/she must be proactive, customer service oriented, ambitious, passionate, adaptable and flexible.


  • Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics and reporting).
  • Understand and prepare accounting entries for various financial activities, which include revenue accounting (discounts, reserves and non-standard entries), accounts receivable, deferred revenue, cash application and marketing allowances.
  • Process new customer set-up requests and coordinate communication with sales organization.
  • Prepare/review sales invoices, generate and distribute weekly AR agings to business unit leaders and monitor collection activity for issues and escalation.
  • Evaluate process and system infrastructure, along with identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate diverse financial activities to determine correct GAAP accounting treatment and adherence to internal policies.
  • Prepare monthly / quarterly financial statement flux variance analyses for management reporting.
  • Provide support to the 10-Q and 10-K reporting process, including preparing supporting schedules.
  • Compile the documentation necessary to support our various SOX controls and processes.
  • Collaborate proactively with the Director of Revenue Accounting, the sales organization, legal department, and supply chain/consumer operations teams to ensure revenue contracts are reviewed to comply with ASC 606 criteria, identifying issues and providing appropriate practical and scalable alternatives as necessary.
  • Work cross-functionally with and support our business partners by providing financial insights and relevant reporting.
  • Deliver on ad-hoc projects / deliverables as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years of revenue experience with the ability to interpret and apply authoritative accounting pronouncements, specifically ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
  • Experience in SOX control documentation / execution.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must.
  • Strong organizational and verbal / written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, team player and able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public accounting experience a plus.
  • CPA or CPA student preferred.
  • SAP or NetSuite ERP experience a plus.
