The Jr. Accountant will play a key role in fulfilling the Accounts Payable accounting operations within the finance department. This is a full-time role reporting directly to the Senior Accountant and will assist with special projects as needed. The Jr. Accountant will work cross-departmentally to develop habits within the A/P team and across the company for relevant, concise, accurate and timely knowledge sharing.

In this role you will:

  • Perform full cycle A/P duties
  • Actively engage in A/P related system implementations and process improvements (leveraging systems to automate & improve efficiency/accuracy/completeness)
  • Timely turnaround to meet month end close tasks and internal reporting needs
  • Ensure vendors are properly set up in ERP system
  • Process and analyze claims/subrogations activity
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Manage dispute process
  • Review & approve employee reimbursements
  • Investigate payment inquiries
  • Perform various accounting, administrative, and other related duties as assigned and required by the role

We’re ideally seeking:

  • 1-3 years of work experience in an accounting role
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and ability to multitask
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excel experience is a must
  • Experience in appropriately managing confidential information
  • A team player with a positive attitude who shares Rhino’s company values, is curious, and asks questions
  • Nice to have:
    • NetSuite experience
    • Insurance experience
    • High volume A/P processing
    • IPO company and/or global company experience
    • Proven track record of working in a fast paced environment
